Burlington is a small town in western Washington State, right in the middle of the fertile Skagit Valley and right next door to Puget Sound  These community members know their food and their recipes show it.  Dill Carrots and Beans, Dave's Red Oyster Stew, Potato Soup, Squash Casserole, Scalloped Rhubarb.  Take this out in the summer.  If you're fortunate enough to have a local farmers market, go there and buy produce straight from the farm.  Then come home, cook a meal, and appreciate the health of locally grown food.
