This has some of the community cookbook fluff in it like Tater Tot Casserole BUT it does an interesting thing.  It has 12 pages of appetizers and then goes right into FOUR chapters of desserts.  And, among the "Scripture Cake" and "A Love Cake for Mother"  are some legit good looking desserts!  Credit that from this book being from Skagit Valley.  They know their food.  Swedish Macaroons, Oatmeal Molasses Cookies, Honey Cookies.  Then you have a few chapters of casseroles and stir frys, then back to desserts and preserves.  Yay!  These are recipes from families that make up the original populations from Skagit Valley pre tulips.
